Apologies for taking so long to reply, never the less here is my response:
My inspiration comes from many things, though with my book The Falling Leaves it mainly came from the autumn season. At the beginning of my book the characters emotions mostly portray her love for the autumn, even on the more stormy days. I took part of this from my own love for the season and how it fills my heart with a sense of excitement as the leaves begin to change and the air carries the scent of damp earth.

I hope this answers your question. Thank you for asking. Happy Reading. (less)

“How many times had she crept into them as a little girl, playing hide and seek with Mhairi and Flora and their many brothers? Why couldn't one of those boys have grown into a man who made the very edges of her world flutter and fray? Why had God sent a man she could never have, to own her heart?”
