After a 5-year writing hiatus I completed Jackal, Book 2 of the Justice Chronicles, featuring FBI Profiler Kate Justice in another supernatural conspiracy adventure. I have always felt that Dan Brown held the monopoly when it comes to crafting engaging and fascinating tales loaded with supernatural conspiracies but Michael Jack Webb has written a tale that is not only intriguing but filled with great imagination. The story has history, religious myth, and political intrigue. Characters include spiritual beings like the Archangel Michael, demons, and pagan gods. The story makes strong allusions to the SS, myths that readers will read in Egyptology with strong references to Osiris, Isis, and Horus, and aspects of the popular Christian myth of angels and demons. The story is expertly plotted and the writing crisp. Devil's Cauldron is packed with action and there are pulsating moments that transport readers to other realms.

Author Michael Jack Webb has crafted a really powerful work of Christian fantasy and thriller fiction as this novel explodes with page after page of action and suspense. I really enjoyed the character development around Ethan and his role as a guardian: he takes up the hero’s mantle with grace and a lot of fortitude, which makes him an admirable hero very suited to this genre. He is truly put to the test by many well-described action sequences and supernatural terrors, and I felt that the worldbuilding behind these concepts (especially the origins of Project Nimrod) was well-grounded and realistic enough to be really invested in. What results is a powerful tale with thrills and spills aplenty, and I would certainly recommend Devil's Cauldron to all fans of Christian fiction who love a true battle of good versus evil.

Devil's Cauldron (The War of Men and Angels Book 2) by Michael Jack Webb is an expertly written Christian thriller with a phenomenal storyline. Based on historical incidents, events, and people from the first part of the twentieth century, it is an exhilarating and action-packed novel. Conceived from a Christian perspective brimming with details, facts, and data relating to history, science, technology, religions, and legends, it is a creative and artistic piece of work. Exploring unearthly experiences paralleling biblical references, such as the teleportation of Philip in the Book of Acts, it is a stunning depiction of modern-day quantum physics. Although it is the second book in a series, it does very well as a stand-alone.

It's been a long time coming, but the riveting sequel to Infernal Gates, Devil's Cauldron is now available on Amazon. When I wrote Infernal Gates, I had no idea there would be a sequel, much less a series. But the characters kept speaking to me, beckoning me to continue their stories. I'm calling the series The War of Men and Angels for reasons that will be obvious as you read Books 1 and 2. I'm currently researching Book 3, Light Bringer. I have a sense there is more to come after that, but my characters will have to let me know what's next. They are in control now. My job is to be a faithful scribe, chronicling the adventures of Ethan, Sam, Vang, Heitsi, and Juba as they battle supernatural forces intent on stealing souls and bending mankind to their evil purposes.

Have written the first 4 chapters of my 7th thriller, tentatively titled Ghost Hunter. It's about an FBI profiler tracking a sepulchral serial killer who isn't what she seems and has an extraordinary ancestry/lineage she knows nothing about.
