Jerry is the Principal and Founder of Jerry Banks Group headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska. Jerry Banks Group owns and operates several investment properties located in five states which include apartments, retail, warehouses and development properties. In addition, Jerry is President of JBG Services, Inc. which is active in real estate consulting services. His consulting clients have included the University of
Nebraska, Mutual of Omaha, Dakota Real Estate Investment Trust and several high-net-worth families. Prior to forming Jerry Banks Group in 2016, Jerry was the Portfolio Director of Real Estate and Partner in NewStreet Properties, LLC. Jerry and his financial partner founded NewStreet Properties in 1992. At

In his 23+ year career at the helm of NewStreet Jerry was directly responsible for over $1.5 billion in real estate transactions including acquisition of over
8,000 apartment units, 2 million square feet of industrial property, 750,000 sq. ft of retail properties, over 300,000 sq.ft. of office properties and numerous development projects. For NewStreet, Jerry conducted business in 12 states and in several major markets throughout the US.
Currently Jerry serves as a Trustee on the Board of Trustees for Dakota REIT based in Fargo, ND. In addition, Jerry serves on the Real Estate Strategic Planning Committee of the Bemis Center for Contemporary Art where he was also a board member for 15 years. He also serves on the Investment Committee of the Western Iowa Community Foundation and the Steering Committee for the SW Iowa Women’s Fund. Prior Jerry served on the Board of Directors or as a consultant for several additional
non-profit organizations including past Chairman of the Western Iowa Community Foundation, past Chairman of the Council Bluffs Chamber of Commerce and past Chairman of the Council Bluffs Industrial Foundation. Jerry also served on the Easter Seals of Nebraska Board of Directors and as a Board Member
for Children’s Square, USA . He also served in the past on the Advisory Board of Directors of two different FDIC banks.
In 2016 Jerry was inducted by a panel of real estate peers into the Nebraska Commercial Real Estate Hall of Fame.
Jerry was born and raised in Glenwood Iowa but today lives in Omaha, Nebraska along with a second home in Scottsdale, Az. Jerry enjoys the outdoors, art projects, ATV’s, hiking, collecting contemporary art, and travelling. Jerry has two married daughters and seven grandchildren. ...more
