About the Author

Kyle Tillotson was born in 1998 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Growing up, he was captivated by many different forms of art, including painting, drawing, and writing. He went on to win a National Silver Medal at the 2013 Scholastic Art & Writing Award show. Mr. Tillotson graduated from Southern New Hampshire University with a Bachelor's degree in Communications. In “Why It Matters”, Kyle explores the issues that arise when apostrophes are used incorrectly, this being the first of the series of “Why It Matters” to use proper punctuation.
