Brilliant

I chose this novel based on it's blurb. Although this is the first Lisa Jewell story I've read, it will not be my last. The characters and their story kept me turning pages. Highly recommended.

A great story.

Hooked by the first book, the author continues to keep me anticipating each story in this series. No disappointment. No only question is, what was Reece's answer? Highly recommended.

An Enjoyable Story

I liked this story for its characters, and blended misdirection and foreshadows. Good as a standalone. Better if read after the first in the series based on references in this one related to the main character. Highly recommended.

“Birdie slid out the chair to his left, crawled up onto it, shifted to sit, and crossed her arms on the table. “I heard my daddy tell Mommy somebody painted your picture on a barn. He said the police are going to imbestigate you.”

“He did?”

She bobbed her head. “He said you looked like the devil. Are you the devil?”
