Axel Francis writes YA sci-fi for teenagers who think the rules are probably suggestions and adults who secretly agree with them.

His debut novel, The Dad Shaped Hole in the Multiverse, follows a fifteen-year-old girl who steals a dimensional travel remote, accidentally acquires a boyfriend across six parallel worlds, and discovers that saving your dad from an interdimensional authoritarian regime is significantly harder than it sounds. There is a T-Rex, and an asteroid. No, not that asteroid. These are related problems.

Book Two of the Total Control Series is currently in progress, which means Sam Jones is about to have a very bad time again.

Axel lives in Australia and is probably thinking about parallel worlds right now.

I read this one after Cinnamon Girl. Melissa has such a great way of writing voices. I really cared for the characters. The best authors do that to you.
