With a long career as a radio morning show host, Scott’s always had a way with words. But his lifelong devotion to science fiction was destined to lead to a second career as a writer. Although his first novel, the mystery/thriller Dead Air was set in the radio world (and shortlisted for a Northern Lit Award in Ontario, Canada) all of his writing since has taken the reader to even stranger places, including the human bloodstream in his SF novel debut The Primus Labyrinth, a science fiction thriller that readers compare to Michael Crichton and Dan Brown. As its name suggests, its a world like a ring all the way around its sun, so the amount of surface area is simply staggering, and the variety of geography and bizarre life forms is equally mind-boggling. So I'd have plenty to do just being a tourist, traveling from place to place to see the sights. Not to mention that just trying to stay alive and out of trouble on the Ringworld is a full-time occupation in itself!(less)

Zenith: Aftermath—Is the End of the Human Era in Sight?

If you know my writing, you’ll know I like to tackle big issues and concepts through good stories. So, it won’t be surprising that I’d write a book exploring the question of life without a physical body, whether that’s some form of artificially created digital intelligence or uploaded human consciousness, or something else entirely. You can’t escape the current AI boom these days, though I wrot
