The Chair to be published in July!
My next novel, The Chair is scheduled to be published July 3rd, 2018 by Silver Leaf Books. What if you were on a game show and won money, should you answer various questions correctly—but for each incorrect answer, you received an electric shock? Imagine watching the show and learning the shocks were given by someone who’d wanted revenge on you. What if you ran into this person later?
In The Chair, game show contestants and their shock givers come to grips with such questions and whether revenge is indeed sweet. When contestants meet up, they confront each other and discuss how and why certain scenes were deleted and if they go should go public with this information. The game show host surreptitiously learns of these meetings and threatens legal action—while, to himself, vows worse. When contestants and tormentors are faced with their greatest crisis, they struggle for inner strength they are unsure they possess—and wonder if revenge was their only choice.

Navigating the complex labyrinth of high school, friends confront the question of what's more important: loyalty or self-preservation? Rock and Lilly are dating and have a substitute following the passing of their previous teacher. Suspicious incidents occur thereafter, Rock theorizing she has some strange ability. She takes an interest in him and he decides it’s best to accept her advances, causing friction between he, Lilly, and their friends. When his relationships reach a critical point, Rock must make a choice. Will it prove beneficial? Or will it result in the end of all their friendships?

Publication date set for my novel!
My psychological suspense novel, Internment, is to be published August 16, 2017….Finally! This was accepted years ago but that publisher went out of business. After numerous revisions and rejections, it’s set to be released at last.
Back of book summary:
Eighteen year old Justin Hopkins ekes out a living writing freelance articles for magazines. When he receives an offer from his psychiatrist uncle to help write about ground-breaking research, Justin jumps at the chance. He travels to his Uncle Blake's isolated ranch with hopes of big-time publication. There, however, he is held captive and worn down, physically and mentally, by Blake and his followers—all, as Blake professes, to make Justin as ‘strong as possible’, in body and mind. Can Justin survive the torment? Or will he succumb and join the others, even bring harm to someone else, now believing it will make them as ‘strong as possible’?
For now it will be an e-book, maybe as a print version in the future.
Will have further updates. Also check my website, www.daviddegorge.com for more info.

eBook, Internment
Hope to have my suspense novel Internment published sometime this year! An eBook, it combines Orwell's 1984 (brainwashing) with a bit of Silence of the Lambs (a crazy psychiatrist). A psychiatrist with a cult wears down his nephew, Justin, to think the 'correct' way. Can Justin survive? Or will he succumb, even harm others?
Will keep everyone updated. Also check www.daviddegeorge.com for more. It has the first chapter of my published novel, Friendship, some of my short stories, and background information on them and the novel.
