"An emergency on the International Space Station is serious enough for the authorities to pull Bob Moretti out of a CIA star ceremony. There seems to have been an altercation on the space station but nothing prepares Moretti for what he is about to go up against as he stares into the face of a very dangerous ghost from his past. Ethan Cain is searching for a unique treasure off the coast of Mozambique when he comes across the wreckage of a downed spaceship complete with a trapped astronaut inside it. These two men will have to work together to unravel the mystery behind Mojdeh Zahedi if they are to prevent a disaster of global proportions but little do they know that old wounds are about to be opened up with deadly consequences in Ryan Pote's BLOOD AND TREASURE.
The first thing that becomes obvious in reading this story is the extent of the attention to detail. It is near perfect as every minuscule aspect about both the military and civilian components is explained clearly and concisely, making it extremely easy to understand what is going on. Ryan Pote uses a style of storytelling that is vivid and immersive. The battle scenes are quite enthralling and the romantic and mystery subplots are equally balanced and intriguing. Ethan Cain comes across as a man with a story he is not willing to bring into the limelight while the mysterious Mojdeh Zahedi is an action genre reader's dream. Pote uses an intriguing storyline with just the right hint of suspense to keep you glued to the edge of your seat in this very realistic story. BLOOD AND TREASURE is storytelling at its finest."
