Been awhile since I posted...
Just super busy lately! I had two films released last week, working on the new Cannibal Book with indie authors from all over the world and working on The Unearthed Music Group. Ha ha ha... I know, insanity but I'm used to it.
I noticed a couple of one star reviews on Hellucination. Since we are both on Goodreads, had to ask them why. Was it the prose? The beliefs it shaped into? After feedback... it was.
The two one star reviews I got where from Luciferians. I had to actually look it up because I have no clue what groups are calling themselves now. Ha ha...
It looks like they won't review it, but will give it a one star because it goes against their beliefs. Reviewing it, from their point of view would mean to state publicly, that they don't believe in Christ or God and would give future readers, an actual compass, as to why they didn't like it.
One of them told me, that it is good that I am pissing off Heathens. They said it was too preachy at the end. Sort of weird because I have had those who follow the Left Hand Path tell me, they loved it because I don't preach to them. LOL Just showed how I came to my beliefs which they respect.
It's sort of funny, one said they didn't know it would become a Christian book because of the tags and that confused me. The tags are God, Satan, Hell, LSD, Drugs, Christianity and so on... LOL! If you mention God, Satan and Hell... that's usually Christian. But hey, they said they hated the book because of my faith and even the second person I put into it. Had a couple of people feel jarred by it.
I guess they were not expecting me, personally to speak to them from the book. I have found that out now, that some people just want to be washed over in the story. They don't want to think, unless they want to. My next book will be totally different. Hellucination is special. It's a different creature actually.
The book has been doing really well. I get emails from people asking me questions and praising it even though they haven't written reviews. I've been finding out, it has been giving a lot of people nightmares actually. Thats wonderful in my eyes. Means, I am hitting people to the core and it's making people question and giving them fear. Nothing like the Fear I went through but it's also secondary, thru my written word. It means I did something right!
One of my friends actually gave the book to her pastor and he read it. I have several pastors reading it now, just waiting for their reviews. The pastor said, "That was the most intensely religious secular book I've ever read, and I think it would be a great teaching tool for ministry."
Flabberghasted and floored! I felt relief actually. I didn't know what the teachers would say about it but the book is... something different then most.
Thank you for reading this post. I really appreciate it more then you know!
