Before fourth grade, Casey struggled with literacy. Reading and writing were constant challenges, and it wasn't until fifth grade that he started to feel more confident. For years, he practiced these skills, believing he might never master them. He had to develop a habit of writing frequently just to reach grade level, which led him to write constantly. Although Casey's writing can sometimes be fragmented, he is sure that writing is not a burden, but a gift. Over time, he realized that writing is the best way for him to express himself and communicate with others. He found it easier to share his thoughts and feelings through writing.
