What to say...
I am that person in the TWILIGHT ZONE episode where the world ends and he doesn't know it because he'd been hiding in the bank vault at work to read.
After he realizes what has happened, he isn't upset. He just finds the demolished local library and starts categorizing, by his reading taste, every wonderful literary piece of work he can recover from the rubble, only to step on his glasses before he can open and read even one of them.
(The poor man is completely blind without his glasses.)
Yep, this is me. This is my luck, and I have accepted that.

I do write in many different genres, so it is always a good idea to read about the book beforehand so you understand what you are getting yourself into. I do not do trigger warnings, (e

This is by far the easiest question I will ever answer, but I didn't know that until I was asked.
If I could go anywhere, to any time, in any book or timeline--I'd go back to my own. What I mean is, I would go back to the time in my life that means the most to me. A time when all of my children were at home, still living with me, all under the same roof. Six sons, one daughter (the youngest), and two other boys that were always with us made for a very loud and crazy atmosphere. One that I miss every single day. I would take away the car keys, the video games, or anything that kept them away from the dinner table. (notice I didn't say books) I would tell them on repeat how valuable they all are, how bright, how smart, how beautiful, how perfect... I would never miss a day, a game, a tennis match, an art exhibit, or an opportunity to let them know how much I really adore them. They saved my life; they made me whole. I haven't felt that way since. So, I would travel back to the pages of my own book and suffer the trauma all over again if it meant just having one more day in that wonderful chaos. (less)

BLOOMING AFTER THE BLAZE: Three Years on the Run

Some seeds only bloom after fire.

In this fiercely personal memoir, Jamie Lee Carrie invites you into a world marked by beauty and brutality, laughter and loss, silence and survival. From the suburbs of Texas to the rooftops of Egypt, she weaves a tale not just of pain, but of persistent and intentional healing. It is not only a story of what was taken but, more importantly, of what still bloomed.

“We limit ourselves. The love that brings joy
and vice versa should be limitless. Each and every single second is a gift. Emotions those moments bring are to be included; not rated."
