Steve is a retired captain with an international airline. In the course of his flying career he served as a check airman and an FAA Air Crew Program -designated pilot examiner for the Boeing 727, as well as chief pilot and FAA ATP-designated pilot examiner for Lear Jets and the Falcon 20. He flew the hajj for an airline even more disreputable than the one in the story. Flying Crooked was inspired by that experience.
