WRITERS' BUSINESS
How many fine books have I edited in the last year? A few damn good ones. What is life like without books? Probably much like the life of the slug. One hopes one does not run into a salt shaker.
What the hell am I going on about? What defines not even a great book? A good book: A fun read, pages that provoke... a fun read which picks up the reader sometimes smacking them down on their ass, all that good stuff.
I do not edit grammar, punctuation, I help the author to make the book as good as it can be. Delete, add, flow, dialogue, all of it. We have a grammar expert at WAMM that handles brilliantly all the punctuation and grammar.
Often I sit and wonder at some of the manuscripts I receive. I wonder at them, just sit and ask myself why so few will read such fine work. I admit that the place I work does not yet have the wherewithall to flight the fancies of the book world. However it will.
This is my dream--to help. Simple isn't it
I do not pray. I read, coach, work. Someday friends, someday. love Dave
