It wasn’t long before she moved up a size to contribute short stories to anthologies. Shortly afterwards, she progressed to writing longer pieces and her first solo work, Ravenfold, was published to much acclaim. This was followed by the novella, Message in a Bottle. Several more books are in the pipeline and her first novel, Top Banana, was published in March 2015. In March 2016 she and Jonathan Hill published Is it Her - two novellas inspired by a painting. A brilliantly conceived speculative novel which engaged me in its dystopian suggestions. Yes, what would happen, would it be permanent, how would humanity change? Thoroughly enjoyable, if a little slow-paced at the beginning.

“Use your intuition. Picture how things happen, why they happen. Don’t stick rigidly to first impressions, and once you’ve read the rule book, throw it away. Better still, burn the bastard.”

“Some things in life could not be solved or even contemplated by a rational mind. Roger’s mind, however, had ceased being anywhere near rational about half a bottle of Grand Marnier ago.”

“Fear was a wonderful propellant, and such a strong exponent of survival, even at the cost of others. Civility, it seemed, was the first to perish in a disaster.”

“Oh God, please, I have to, please, just once more; I have to see her again. He marched onwards, his crippled leg dragging behind; his good leg hauling his exhausted body through the kind of pain he didn’t think existed. He reached out, grasped clumps of hope with bloodied hands, and pulled himself onwards.”

Anita Hi Kath, I have just finished Top Banana and left you a review on Amazon and on here. I mean everything I have said about it, I can't remember when I have enjoyed a book so much, you write beautifully, thank you for keeping me entertained in such a wonderful way, can't wait to see what you have in store for us next.

Robert Franks Kath, I just read your review and wanted to say a huge thankyou! And not just for the review. Since I wrote the first book you have been a fantastic help to me in keeping the quality of the writing style to a standard i would otherwise be unable to achieve. A heartfelt thankyou from a very grateful writer :)
