Lazarus James is a BIPOC, nonbinary, and ace-spec creative with a love for everything fantasy, most recently manhwa with those blue screens and dungeons. (You might’ve guessed that based on their first book.)

One day, they asked themself, “Why are the main characters always straight men? And why do the two who are obviously in love never end up together?”
The story Laz has written is their own self-indulgent answer to these questions.

They also want you to know that they have two lovely cats affectionately called Lady and Young Man, though their government names are Darjeeling and Earl Grey, respectively.

Lazarus James liked Aaron's review of History of the Kingdom of Orcsen: How the Barbarian Orcish Nation Came to Burn Down the Peaceful Elfland (Light Novel) Vol. 1 (History of the Kingdom of the Orcsen, Light Novel): "First trigger warning: This author never saw an info dump they didn't like. Second trigger warning: This author conducted loads of historical research, and they can't wait to blab about it, regardless of what readers actually need. Third trigger warn" Read more of this review »

Lazarus James liked Carly Kirk's review of Dungeon Hunter: Act I (Dungeon Hunter, #1): "So I purchased this book because the premise sounded pretty close to what I was looking (queer themed litrpg) and it (of course) wasn't on KU... While I enjoyed it well enough, I'm very unlikely to reread it and I'm not tempted to read the next in th" Read more of this review »

Lazarus James liked Debbie Pyette's review of Dungeon Hunter: Act II (Dungeon Hunter, #2): "The author does a fantastic job of developing the relationship between former friends Lee and Axle. It is part tender love story and high action, imaginative adventure. It is well worth the lengthy read."

I can't remember the last time a group of characters felt so real, or their relationships so meaningful.
