Captain Lanie Romein A.K.A. The Ice Queen

I have a great little serialized story that is heatin' up my website! I'm up to Part 6 and the action is about to start. I can't believe how much attention it's getting!

I started about 6 weeks ago with an idea to post this story in parts and now I have noticed many more people have started to do the same. One has taken it a step forward on is doing a podcast of a serialized story.

I suggest you seek these stories out and have some fun! I update mine every Friday morning and here is the link to the newest one:

So tired of not having my book covers show!

I just released a new book A guide to Corset Making -Even the sewing impaired. But no one will be interested in reading it because my cover won't show.

New Short Story

I just can't keep my hands off my keyboard!

An idea came to me and I had to write it down. Its an erotic short story called Forget me Not.
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B007O41VSK
A short erotic romance for a sensual escape.

Lily had to grow up quick and take charge, her childhood cut short. Then one day...Time stood still...and he entered her life, to give her a day to remember. They spend the day falling in love. This sensual stranger takes her to heights she never thought possible. As the day ends will she remember, or is it just a dream?

You can find it on Amazon. I would like to do a giveaway and this because it is so short (5k words)

If I can figure out how to do it I will.

Waiting to publish

I have just handed over a manuscript to be edited. I want to take a break, but I don't believe its possible. I already have over 5k written on another book.

I know lots of people who work on more than one book at a time. I can't, I have to give my all to just one book at a time.

I am also trying different genres to see where my talents lie. I have done erotica, YA Fantasy/Adventure, the one to be published is Romantic/Fantasy/Werewolf, and the one I have started on is about Vampires. So far I have been in love with everyone, I guess the proof will be in the pudding; i.e. the sales!

Introduction

I'm not great at blogging. I guess that's why I hesitate doing it... I find it hard to believe anyone really reads these. I am going to attempt to "blog" once a week. Hopefully I will have something interesting to tell you. This will be a kind of diary about my journey as an author as well. More about that next time.

I am trying to run a contest to giveaway a free copy of my book Windswept-War of the Elements. Now I am selling an average of two a day so I guess there is interest but so far no one has taken me up on the free book offer. All you have to do is put your name in the hat and someone will be chosen randomly on March 31st. That person will have to give me an email to send the gift certificate to and Voila! they have the free copy. Couldn't be easier. I can only assume I am not reaching the right people.

It's one of the hugest problems facing Indie Writers, exposure, marketing ... How does anyone know I have written a book out of the thousands on Amazon? I will be looking into ways to market my books and sharing any information I find with you. See ya next time!
