Hello!

I grew up in the Missouri Ozarks, but Oklahoma has been home almost since my husband and I were newlyweds 40 years ago. When he landed his airline dream job after college, we loaded up our yellow Chevy truck and red Oldsmobile with our meager belongings and two cats and headed west.

I encountered Christ at VBS at age 9, and since then, the Lord has mercifully worked on growing me up in Him. With several health issues diagnosed in recent years, I am a frequent flyer at various doctor’s offices and hospitals and am grateful for the Lord’s strength and faithfulness to hold me together throughout my journey.

The col…moreEarly in 2017, I posted a short declaration of faith that began with the words "My Jesus." The next day another statement welled up within me. The collection has blossomed into nearly 1,000 such declarations. My friends encouraged me to collect them in a book, so I carefully and prayerfully chose which ones to include in my new devotional, "My Jesus: Reflections of the Redeemer." One thing that makes this book dear to my heart is that my daughter, who is a professional artist, illustrated it for me. I am so proud of how pretty it is because of her gift. (less)
