Mark Fuson's Blog

The point of blogging is…
I confess! I admit it freely!
I am not a blogger!
In all seriousness though I struggle with the concept of tweeting and blogging and poking and whatever else there is online. I love the Internet…I spend vast amounts of time on it! But does everyone really need to know what I'm doing or thinking every waking moment?
I spent the afternoon working on book 2. For those of you reading this maybe you want to know more about book 2 – maybe you just stumbled onto this blog and can't figure out what the hell the purpose is. Welcome to my world!
Origin of the Species, the sequel to Darwinism, is coming along. I chip away at it a piece at a time. If I could quit my day job it would be done in a matter of months. Damn day jobs!
Today I completed Chapter 12. I wish I could tell you about it but that might cause spoilers…and nobody likes a spoiler. Let's just say that the Hadamar Wellness Retreat will be open soon and the breeding program will be in full swing! Should be fun!

Darwinism by Mark Fuson
"We've got a bigger problem Tim, what do we do now?' Darwin asked with a new seriousness.
"You mean about the police?" Tim asked, now with his rosy JD cheeks.
"Yeah." Darwin stated as lie looked out the window, noticing a parked car with two men up the block, watching his house "They're coming for us, you know that?"
"Too had we can't make them all werewolves." Tim laughed to himself
Darwin stopped and grinned. The idea was crazy, hut simple. It was the old adage, the best way to vanquish an enemy, is to make them an ally.
The above conversation is how it all begins for Darwin and New Haven. Book one is the beginning of the horror where we see Darwin learning about his power and how that addiction gets away on him.
The plan to convert New Haven into a town of werewolves only comes about as a way of covering up his first kills that he and his newly turned pup have indulged in.
As the plan takes shape it is clear that turning half of New Haven into werewolves is the best option — while leaving the other half — "the undesirables" to face deportation to "special handling" where they await their invitation to dinner. New Haven is transformed into the perfect small town where everyone is treated fairly and with respect The criminals and drug addicts are gone along with anyone who had ever wronged Darwin or his friend Steve. With Darwin firmly in control of New Haven he begins to experiment on the people he hates, starting with a former high school bully named Teddy Holmes.
Darwin personalizes his torture as a way of cleansing his own internalized demons. He will slowly eat Teddy over months.
Darwinism is a dynamic book with simple truths about human nature. I wrote it as a way to help me release my own demons from my childhood years. It's graphic in parts — but that's my brand of horror!
Darwinism is timely as it does tackle bullying and homophobia.
Darwinism is book one of three and there are a lot of unanswered questions by the end of book one.
I started writing Darwinism in 2003 when I lived in Zhangjiajie, Hunan China. I had moved there to teach English after what I considered to be my first mid-life crisis. I suppose in fairness the first three paragraphs were written in late 2002. When I returned home from China Darwinism sat on my shelf until 2010 when my crazy cat lady friend encouraged me to finish it. On Halloween 201.0 — I finished it!
A final note of interest — Book Two already has 10 chapters done at this point. Enjoy the read!
