The Journey Continues: Gratitude, Giveaways, and the Gift of Forgiveness

This is my first time writing an author blog post, and I have to admit, it feels both exciting and humbling. As someone who has spent over two decades in journalism, I'm used to telling other people's stories. I grew up in Fightingville, Louisiana, navigating the complexities of colorism, systemic racism, and family trauma that many people face but few talk about openly. For years, I carried anger, hurt, and questions that seemed to have no answers. Writing this memoir wasn't just about sharing my story, but it was about finding healing through forgiveness.
