And that’s how it’s done.

Okay, it’s done. Shopping. Pies. Rolls.

We. Are. Ready.

And so, I had a little free time this weekend and I binge-watched House of David, Season 2.

Oh, it’s GOOD. SO good. I loved how the showrunners brought in David’s devotion to God, along with his warrior character. (There was one scene in episode 7 I had to rewind and watch over and over!)

Anyhoo…it made me think a lot about the posture of gratitude.

Now I’m hungry…

You sort of made me cry.

First – thank you to everyone who submitted a recipe! Soooo many great recipes…you made me hungry! And so many sweet entries accompanied by memories of grandma, or mom, or dad, or uncles. You got me thinking about my Mom, and all the love she put into Thanksgiving.

When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter…!

So, last week was a little weird for me. I got a taste of what my life would look like if I was a single gal, no one to force me to walk on the beach, or break for supper, or walk the dogs or even go out for a drive.

It sort of freaked me out.

What’s on the menu?

You getting hungry yet? I keep opening up my email to yet another delicious looking casserole to make for Thanksgiving.

Alas, Thanksgiving is going to look a little different this year for us. We’re not traveling, and no one is traveling to us. With our house still being repaired, we’re in Florida for T-day,

We’re at it again…

First – Thank you to all the veterans out there. If you’re a veteran, or the family member of a vet, thank you to you, also. (I’m the wife and a mom to 2 brave vets!) Our freedoms aren’t free, and I’m grateful to the heroes who stand on the line for us and protect our country.

A treat for you! (no trick necessary…)

So, admittedly, I don’t do much for Halloween. Our family, as missionaries in Russia never really partook in this event, and since we moved stateside when they were older, it wasn’t something we incorporated into our lives.

Especially since the 31st is also my son’s birthday.

31 years ago today.

So,

Oh, how I forgot…

It’s been a big week for the Florida Warrens..

This happened.

We are so excited to welcome our 5th grandchild, and 3rd granddaughter! She’s precious.

But that meant that we were on Maymay and Pops duty all week with this guy.

And oh, I forgot how exhausting 3 year olds are!

Let’s try something new!

Hubs and I found a new market in town this week. It’s called “Thrifty” and it’s filled with all these international foods…

Like yams from around the world.

And so many mangos, papayas and fresh pineapple.

I love trying new foods, and I happened upon a new recipe site that I’ve been pulling so many nummy dishes from – the Mediterranean dish.

A day off and some honesty…

Hope you had a beautiful weekend! Hubs and our grandson had a epic playdate at a classic car show this weekend.

I decided this might be my new ride.

We then went to Lowes. Because that’s what you do on a Guy Playdate. Apparently, it’s time for Christmas!

And,

All the delicious things…

Happy Friday. It’s been a week of brainstorming a fun new series (hint: Hockey. Minnesota. Old friends and new!)

But in doing my research (endless hours of hockey reels!) I came across this! “The Bible in 90 Seconds” Yes, it’s made with AI, but it’s still cool. I think you’ll enjoy it.

Watch here!
