Last chance!

Hello again!

Just hopping on with a wee reminder that The Haunting of Hattie Hastings is still just 99p, but the clock is ticking… And it's currently just outside the top 3,000 books in the whole of the Amazon UK Kindle Store!

I'd love to see it climb higher in the rankings, so please treat yourself to a copy if you haven't already done so. The link is below.

Enormous thanks for all your support. Have a fabulous week.

Audrey xxxx

Bargain alert! 😎😎

I rarely do price drops (I'm Scottish, forgive me) but for a limited time my beloved second romcom The Haunting of Hattie Hastings is just 99p in the UK only. With over 300 ratings/reviews across Amazon, it's been described as:

'Heartbreakingly beautiful.'

'Funny and emotional.'

'Hauntingly brilliant.'

Why not treat yourself to a copy now? Every sale will make my wee heart sing and allow me to stock up on Heinz baked beans before returning to Switzerland. More on that in a minute. Here's the buy link:

Help! I need your votes…

Greetings from sunny Edinburgh!

Just a quickie today to say I'm getting closer to clinching the 'Cover of the Month' contest at AllAuthor with my gorgeous book, A Wish For Jo.

I’d love if you could take a short moment to vote for my book cover here: https://allauthor.com/cover-of-the-month/13777/

I'll be back later in the week with news of a book price drop (for a limited time only) and my musings on my time in Scotland this summer. We're talking folding buckets, bargain beans and an abundance of Fringe shows on the cards.

Until then, stay safe and keep smiling.

Audrey 😄

⬇️⬇️ Isn't it beautiful? Last time I won anything was an orange juicer in the '90s so please help…

Procrastination is the thief of time… ⏲️

When you know you really, really should be doing something, but you find countless ways of not doing it. Ooh, I feel the sudden urge to declog the shower drain thingy! Hang on, I haven't cleaned out the freezer for a while, and … chicken dating back to 2015 is still edible, right?

I've reach a new high (or low) today. In an attempt to declutter, I sifted through a small pile (Alpine mountain) of old magazines. Old, as in circa 2013/14. Why did you keep them, I hear you ask? Because they were quite expensive, and shiny, and crammed full of advice on how to treat your haemorrhoids (yes, I had to google the spelling), make your hair voluminous (not related to bottoms in any way, unless you're particularly hirsute) and featured such yummy recipes. And, anyone who knows me well, knows I love to cook. But nowadays I get most of my recipes online. Still, anything to avoid writing my new book. And I found a few fabulous articles on how running will change your life (not going to happen, unless pursued by a velociraptor), wise words to live your life by (everything in moderation except coffee, wine and episodes of Derry Girls) — OK, made that one up, and just food, glorious food. Although, fifteen supplements on the perfect Christmas meal might be a tad excessive. There must be a limit on the ways to stuff a turkey?

Anyway, to get back to the sad story. I've been scanning and saving recipes which I'll probably never look at. Apart from the sticky toffee pudding one I recall making when bootleg jeans were in fashion. I have several pairs, can't fit into any of them.

What's your procrastination go-to? The thing you do when other jobs are calling, but you stick your fingers in your ears and say, 'not listening?'

I'll end with a wee book review. Life, Slightly by Nigel Jay Cooper. I received an advance copy (it's out in September) and it really moved me.

Counting down to publication day!

Hello! How are you all doing? The sun is shining here in Switzerland and I'm making snail-like progress with the final part of the Cranley Wishes trilogy. The star of the show this time is unconventional granny, Wilma, with her penchant for tea leaf readings and speaking her mind…

Just a wee reminder that part two — A Wish For Jo — is still available to pre-order ahead of its June 13 publication date. The paperback version will go 'live' soon if ebooks bring you out in a rash.

Here's the purchase link again. Pre-orders really help give a rankings boost, so if you enjoyed A Wish For Jinnie, please consider buying a copy.

My fifth book is out in the wild! 😀

Happy Easter, folks!

Just a quickie to say my latest romcom novel — A Wish For Jo — is now available to pre-order on Amazon. Publication date is June 13 but if you buy now it will magically appear on your device on that day.

I'm thrilled with the cover and huge thanks to everyone who sent me feedback on the designs. It really helped me make the final choice. I hope you love it as much as I do. 💖

The books are best read in order, so please start with A Wish For Jinnie if you haven't already read it.

April snow and — finally — book news!

Happy Saturday, folks! What are you all up to? I've done Wordle, Quordle and Octordle which means I'm definitely not procrastinating… Well, maybe a little.

It's a chilly, snowy day here in Switzerland. Hard to believe I was in shorts sitting out in the sun a couple of weeks ago. Can't wait for warmer weather to arrive so I don't need my hot water bottle at night.

Later than planned, I've completed Book 5 which my editor really enjoyed (phew). As I said before, it's a sequel to my third book — A Wish For Jinnie — and is called A Wish For Jo. For those who've read Jinnie, it focuses on café owner Jo and her adventures with an unlikely companion. It's packed with humour, romance and poignancy and I really hope it goes down well with my readers.

You were so helpful before when I was dithering over cover choices, so I'd really value your opinions again. Here are two possibilities from my wonderful cover designer. I have my own preference and ideas for small tweaks, but your feedback would mean so much! All suggestions welcome.
