To answer your questions, years ago, I read "The Other Boleyn Girl" by Philippa Gregory and got hooked on all things Tudor England. So I'd say I drew a lot of inspiration from books I read about that time period. Each Gypsy King book took about a year to write and the planning process was extensive because I had to keep track of so many characters, subplots and themes. I also had to weave everything together and make sure that I left no loose threads. Suffice it to say that my poor, overworked brain ached a bit by the end of it :)
