Latest News from Michelle Willingham
I don’t think I realized just how long it had been since I’d updated this page until I saw that my last post was from 2017. Whoops! My excuse can only be major life changes, a move, children going to high school, and writing a ton of new books.
This year, I took part in a 5-book mini-series called Sons of Sigurd. I wrote the first title, Stolen by the Viking, and authors Harper St. George, Jenni Fletcher, Michelle Styles, and Terri Brisbin collaborated with me. I also wrote a short story in the Castle Keyvnor collection titled “A Rake of Her Own,” and it will release in late May. Then the sequel to The Highlander and the Governess, The Highlander and the Wallflower will come out in August.
After that, I’ve decided to spread my wings a bit in terms of the types of books I write. Don’t worry–I’m not giving up on historicals. I just wanted to try some new things. So in the next few months, I will be releasing a contemporary romance and a middle grade fiction novel, but under different pen names. I’ll keep you posted!
With all best wishes,
Michelle Willingham

2017 Releases
I’ve been sadly delinquent at updating my news, so pardon me for the delay! My excuses is that I’ve written three new books, so I hope you’ll understand.

2016 Releases
This year, I’ve been working on several projects. The first is a spin-off series to Secrets in Silk, titled the Earls Next Door. Several characters (Cain Sinclair and Amelia Hartford) will make an appearance in this new series. It’s a trilogy about three earls who find love in Victorian-era England. The first book was inspired by The Secret Garden and is titled Good Earls Don’t Lie. It’s tentatively set to release in September of this year.
The second project I’ve been finishing up is the sequel to A Viking for the Viscountess. A Maiden for the Marquess was originally intended for release in fall of 2016, but it had to be set aside temporarily. It should hopefully go out to my editor in March and be released in early summer. My apologies for the delay!
If you’d like me to e-mail you when one of these books releases or when there’s a special sale, you can sign up for my newsletter.
Happy reading!

Forthcoming Books in 2015
This year, I’ve written a new series of books set in medieval Ireland. Warriors of Ireland was inspired by Game of Thrones and the fairytale “Beauty and the Beast.” Book one of this duet, Warrior of Ice, will release June 20, 2015, in stores and July 1st in e-book form. The second book, Warrior of Fire, will release in late November/early December.
I have plans to write a sequel to A Viking for the Viscountess, and I hope to release it in August or September of this year.
If you’d like me to e-mail you when one of these books releases or when there’s a special sale, you can sign up for my newsletter here.
Wishing you all a wonderful spring!

A Viking Contest
Happy Monday! And what could go better with Monday than a Twitter contest for a $25 Amazon gift card?
Maybe a $50 gift card instead? Or even $100?
I’m hosting a social media contest today because I want to spread the word about my newest book, A Viking for the Viscountess, which is up for pre-order now at the sale price of $2.99 (Amazon, Nook, Kobo, and Apple). Starting tomorrow on release day, it goes back to the full price. I want all my readers to enjoy the special sale price, so would you help me spread the word?
Here are the rules. Copy and paste this tweet as many times throughout today as you like:
What happens when a Viking time travels to Regency England? Pre-order @michellewilling’s new book to find out. http://amzn.to/14ix396
If you do not have a Twitter account and would prefer to use Facebook or another social media to spread the word, that’s fine. Just e-mail me the link to where you have shared the information, and you’re entered to win.
One winner will be chosen from among all entrants to receive a $25 Amazon gift card. But wait! If the sales rank of the book reaches 500 or lower on Amazon, the gift card becomes $50. If it breaks the top 100 on Amazon? It’ll be a $100 Amazon gift card.
Good luck to everyone, and thank you so much for helping me to spread the word. The winner will be notified via Twitter or e-mail on November 18th. Entrants must have reached the age of majority in their country of origin. No purchase necessary, void where prohibited.

Fall and Winter News
The year is winding to a close, and I have two more books forthcoming. The first, Unlaced by the Outlaw is the final story in the Secrets in Silk series. It tells the story of prim and proper Margaret Andrews who is stranded in the wilderness with a wicked outlaw, Cain Sinclair.
The second book will hopefully be into production by next month. It’s a “unique” book, born from my love of time travel stories. I wanted to explore what it would be like for a Viking to time travel forward to the Regency era. Arik Thorgrim isn’t at all the sort of hero Juliana Arthur, the Viscountess Hawthorne, was expecting. But the two of them make one of the most interesting couples I’ve ever written. It was terrific fun to bring a Viking into the ballroom, so I hope you’ll enjoy the book. This is a draft of the cover, and it is one of the books in the series: A Most Peculiar Season. It’s part of an author collaboration with Deborah Hale, Ann Lethbridge, Barbara Monajem, Gail Ranstrom, and others. The books will feature unusual events in the Regency era, and our characters will interact in the different books.
As we move toward the holiday season, I wish you and your families all the very best!
