What a time to be alive... or to die!
50 reviews on Goodreads!
12 people actually wrote something about it, too.
And 11 of those people like it. Which is nice. My mother always told me to focus on the positive*.
No fewer than two of those people asked if there was a sequel in the works...so I can confirm...
ARDEN WILL RIDE AGAIN in...
LILBURY MURDERS 2: TO SLEEP, PERCHANCE TO KILL.
Arden's back with a new mystery, new paramours, and this time he's even hotter.
Summer has come early to Lilbury and Arden Forrest isn't the only one woken from hibernation after the long winter. The village is abuzz with news of a forthcoming by-election, which has several surprising faces running for a chance at Parliament.
However, rivalries abound and tempers flare as the race – and the weather – heats up. It's not long before tragedy occurs and Arden stumbles over his least favourite thing... a dead body.
Who murdered the aspiring politician? What connection did they have to Lilbury, and why is Simon, the village's handsome handyman, personally involved?
It looks like to find the killer and stop his one-time flame from taking the fall, Arden is going to have to solve the mystery, and find the dangerous killer – and face his all-time worst fear: excessive sweating in public.
I'm so excited to share this with you! Cover and more details will be announced in due course and am aiming to publish winter 2025-26. Stay tuned for more details.

*This is a lie; my mother was very bitter and didn't believe in saying nice things or fake sincerity.

Welcome to my page!
Hello and welcome,
It's such a joy to get a review or a rating on the novel. It's been a labour of love. I wrote it in a massive rush one Christmas when I had two weeks off and then spent years editing it to its final form and then a lot longer being rejected by over 100 (!) literary agents.
So, along came Kindle self-publishing. Which was a massive learning experience (read: it is not fun! Or maybe I’m just not tech-savvy).
Here we are. I hope you enjoy Arden's adventures. He is a mix of myself, the completely fictitious, and the totally heightened and ridiculous.
I have never been chased by a murderer, but I have done things I regret with men in fields, so there we are.
It is my biggest dream to quit my day job and do this professionally, so your support means everything to me. If it happens, it happens. If it doesn't, well, I still appreciate your support.
OK, that's quite enough sincerity. It sickens me.
