J.P. Caruso is from Massachusetts’ North Shore, where she lives off of iced coffee year-round. She is a scientist with a background in art and aspirations in the stars. When she isn’t working, she’s playing survival-crafting videogames, drawing spicy art, or practicing krav maga and muay thai kickboxing, in which she is a first-degree black belt.

Primarily a M/M romance writer, J.P. has been in love with love her whole life, and she has been honing her writing skills since she was a teenager. Her first foray into writing was through fanfiction, and she has participated in numerous fandoms throughout the years. I wanted so badly to like this book because I loved Mexican Gothic, but I just didn't. It was far too slow for the first two thirds of the book, and it really only picked up in the last third, with the most interesting part happening in the last half ...more
