Alasdair Cameron (1953 - 1994) was a Scottish academic and theatre manager.

The eldest of three children, he attended Kilmarnock Academy. Initially, he went on to Stirling University, before transferring to the University of Glasgow in 1972, where he won 1st prize in his drama class in 1973. He earned a distinction in Latin Literature in the next year, and graduated with an MA in Drama and English Literature in 1976.

Alasdair went on to a PhD at Warwick University researching the repertory theatre movement in Britain between 1907 and 1919, and then took an MA in Arts Administration at City University, London. This was followed by a stint in management at London's Cockpit Theatre.
