The best advice for writers I ever heard is to write the book you want to read.

Well, that’s what I tried to do with Chairman of The Bored. I always loved off-beat stories featuring an anti-hero who manages to scrape through a series of wild adventures.

Think, Catch 22 by Joseph Heller, The Trial by Franz Kafka, The Catcher in the Rye by JD Salinger, Flashman by George MacDonald Fraser, A Confederacy of Dunces by John Kennedy Toole or Vintage Stuff by Tom Sharpe.

Books like these are hard to come by so I decided to write my own.
