One Star Review Bombs
The King's Bow
I recently received several fake one star reviews for my book, The King's Bow.
I know they're fake because they all appeared on the same day, by accounts that have all left one star reviews on the same books, all on the same day.
I understand the risks of Goodreads, how there are no requirements to leave a review on someone's book, whether that be positive or negative.
I also understand that these reviews do not actually reflect in any way the quality of my work, but wow does it sting to see my book, the thing I worked so hard over for so long, be bombarded with harsh words. Watching the average rating of my book drop so drastically here is a stab to the heart.
I feel like I need to avoid Goodreads for reviews and rely on the ratings of Amazon which requires a verified purchase before a review can be left. There, The King's Bow has received 4 five star reviews and 2 four star reviews!
If anyone is interested in picking up The King's Bow, please do not take to heart these one star fake reviews. Go to Amazon and read the reviews there!
