My stories are written in both English and Chinese, and are designed for families raising bilingual children or exploring their cultural heritage together. While many stories are rooted in traditional Chinese tales, they also include imaginative twists inspired by conversations and ideas from my own kids. Together, we reimagine these stories in ways that are playful, gentle, and meaningful for today’s young readers.

Through these books, I hope to spark curiosity, nurture cultural pride, and encourage joyful reading moments for families around the world.

我的书籍使用中文与英文双语撰写，适合希望孩子学中文、也希望保有文化根基的家庭共读。虽然故事多半来自经典的中国神话与节庆传说，但其中也融入了我和孩子们一起发想的创意灵感。透过我们的对话与生活观察，让这些故事多了一点童趣、一点温柔，也更贴近当代孩子的心。

Freda Chen answered Goodreads's question: What mystery in your own life could be a plot for a book? When I was little, my grandmother told me that Chang’e lived on the moon and watched over children who told bedtime stories. That seed of mystery became my first picture book.
