A writer, editor and educator, J.E. Remy has written scholarly work on Doctor Who, including a thesis entitled “Female Representations and Gendered Power Structures in Doctor Who, 1963–2014.” They have worked as an Editor-in-Chief on three literary magazines, and published academic texts in Public Speaking 3.0 by Morreale and Thorpe and The Community Writing Connection.

In addition to writing Doctor Who news, reviews and fiction for the original incarnation of Kasterborous and The Doctor Who Companion , their fiction and poetry can be found in riverrun, folio, Nothing But Red , Deep Waters , and Sanitarium .
