When Doubt Shows Up

Imposter syndrome and the question "Am I good enough?" sit in the same place for me. They show up at the same time. They feel the same in my body. They arrive every time I publish and every time I start something new.

A Slow Goodbye is a haunting, dreamlike story that blurs reality and nightmare in a way that sometimes left me a little confused — but it fits the emotional unraveling at the heart of the book. The parallel between Elira’s dreams and the dread of los ...more

This one is out now and I love that readers are connecting with the rugby club atmosphere even if they have no experience of that world. It was a tough one to write as I wanted to be authentic to that world. I wrote two blog posts about it.
Don't Die for Me, Argentina by Helen Taylor
"Another fabulous book about DI Goodwin and Penny.
I loved how the suspense builds both in the capital and the Patagonian outback. Where rugged terrain, hard nosed villains, and beautiful horses are all entwined.

Thoroughly recommend this book! " Read more of this review »

A gripping story built on hidden truths, family silence and a past no one wants uncovered or talked about. The tension builds steadily, and the mystery at its heart makes it a very engaging read with a nice little twist.

Fun, light and entertaining, though as an experienced traveller I’d seen most of these mishaps before. Still, it’s an enjoyable read with charm, humour and relatable chaos for anyone who loves travel
