Abigail Reynolds may be a nationally bestselling author and a physician, but she can’t follow a straight line with a ruler. Originally from upstate New York, she studied Russian and theater at Bryn Mawr College and marine biology at the Marine Biological Laboratory in Woods Hole. A life-long lover of Jane Austen’s novels, Abigail began writing variations on Pride & Prejudice in 2001, then expanded her repertoire to include a series of novels set on her beloved Cape Cod.Her most recent releases are A Matter of Honor, Mr. Darcy's Enchantment, and Conceit &

“I like my coffee with cream and my literature with optimism.”
Abigail Reynolds, Pemberley by the Sea

“Sometimes she wished for someone she could tell about her problems, just to be able to say, ‘I’m in love with a man and I can’t have him.’ But that would only lead to questions she couldn’t answer, so she kept the secret and the pain inside, hoping someday she would no longer feel as if half of her were missing.”
Abigail Reynolds, The Man Who Loved Pride & Prejudice
tags: love, pain

“Do you know what it is to be a man violently in love? To live for a woman's smiles and laughter, to hunger for her touch until life itself seems impossible without it, to desire her as you desire to breathe?”
Abigail Reynolds, The Last Man in the World

Thanks for accepting my friend request!"

My pleasure! I haven't been getting notices from Goodreads for some reason, so I got a bit behind on responding to requests.

Sophia Hi Abigail!

Thanks for accepting my friend request!

M.J. Johnson Hi Abigail, thanks for befriending me. It's all new and a bit confusing. I think I agree about To Kill a Mockingbird - just don't think I can make it my absolute favourite - maybe it can share number 1 spot with a dozen other of my favourite books eg David Copperfield, Cold Mountain, Cannery Row and lots more ...
Take care, Martin

There are so many good ones! The Masqueraders, The Grand Sophy, Sylvester and Frederica are some of my favorites. I keep going back to them.

Cathiecaffey Thanks for the friendship Abigail! Looking at the books you read, makes me want to dig out a Georgette Heyer that I haven't read yet! I've only read a couple but loved them! I so love the Regency settings with the balls and all that fun reading! Looking forward to your recommendations and seeing what you read too! What would you recommend of Heyer's?
