I anticipate releasing my latest book in time for the winter Olympics on February 9th - The Olympic Renaissance Man – Mentored by Rockne, Olympian Oberst becomes a Renowned Coach, Professor & Artist. The story picks up after Gene Oberst returns from the Chariots of Fire Olympics in Paris with his medal and travels to Louisiana for his first coaching position as the high school’s first coach, athletic director, trainer etc.. As portrayed in 50 letters exchanged between Gene and Knute Rockne, Gene faces numerous challenges, but Rockne is always there for him. After climbing the coaching ladder and living in seven cities in eight years, Gene later finds a second calling as a popular professor and artist.
