5 stars for Bound Through Blood

Great review for Bound Through Blood by Jennifer Kranz Bemis: I COULD NOT put this book down. I was upset with myself for reading it so fast. I love finding authors from the state I live in and reading their books. I cannot wait to read some more of her books!!

Bound Through Blood Review

If I could sum up this book in a few words it would be – ABSOLUTE PERFECTION!
Bound Through Blood, set in the voodoo capital of the world New Orleans, is one of the best novels I have had the pleasure of reading for quite some time now. I cannot recall how many times I was late for work or other arrangements because I was lost in Bound Through Blood – it is simply one of those reads you cannot put down.
First of all, I would like to draw your attention to the character of Salena Saunders. Salena, a local tour guide, is by far the star of the story. Without divulging the story line; which trust me, is so compelling and intricate that it will leave your head spinning; Salena finds herself being well…pretty much stalked, by one handsome S.O.B (more on Devin and his brother later) who just so happens to be the descendant of his one true love. At first Salena is frightened by his sudden sexual advances, and after consulting voodoo priestesses and fortunetellers, learns that she has finally found the man which destiny has chosen for her.
Now, onto the men of the hour. Devin, and his long-lost brother Gabriel, are by far two of the sexiest but deadliest vampires since Dracula was around and trust me when I say their idea of sex is so much more erotic than that bloke Christian Grey. The way Alexis describes them (in great detail *wink*) leaves every woman, and dare I say homosexual man, drooling and praying that one of them turns up at our doorsteps. I daren’t tell too much of the tale but what I will say is that Gabriel is certainly the bad boy (Alexis, little note from me….please do a sequel and pair me with him!!) but Devin certainly has a dark side, but then again he IS a vampire – you know, one of those things that sucks the blood of humans?
Bound Through Blood is certainly a book I would recommend to anyone…except my grandmother as the erotic scenes would probably give her a heart attack!
