I’m absolutely thrilled to announce that my YA Fantasy/Romance novel, Of Blood and Poppies, will be released by Gemini Valley Publishing late 2027!

“Of Blood and Poppies follows the journey of Santo and his adoptive mothers as they struggle to find their place in a human town that has never been comfortable housing them. However, Santo’s inability to control his energy-stealing powers and his incendiary romance with a human boy from town put his entire family’s safety at risk. When his mothers reveal a possible explanation for his volatile powers, people from Santo’s past complicate not only their position in the town but also Santo’s understanding of what family should—and could—be.”

I’m absolutely thrilled to announce that my first ever poetry chapbook, Resurrection of the Ferns, is now available for purchase from Bottlecap Press! You can order your copy here!

“Resurrection of the Ferns is a collection of short poems that use nature as a vehicle to contemplate various perspectives on capitalism, (dis)ability, and queerness within “Western” society. The physical body is an object that is constantly criticized and constrained within society—a society that forces us to move, act, and present ourselves in specific ways. This short collection of poems aims to reveal the lived impact of those constraints and, from there, to imagine a better way forward.

How can we move forward in a society so determined to keep us stagnant? Resurrection of the Ferns evokes the persistence and abundance of the simple fern to highlight the importance of resistance both as individuals and as communities. All we have is community. If we nurture it, embody it, then it can support us in ways beyond what we’ve ever imagined.”
