Title: Why I Wrote Twice: Wake Me and Why Save Me Had to Exist
Hi,
I’m Trice McIntyre, and if you’re here, welcome.
This space is where I share the heart behind my stories the moments that didn’t make it onto the page and the emotions that refused to stay quiet.
Twice: Wake Me was never meant to be easy.
It was written in the space between healing and heartbreak. Between loving someone deeply and realizing love doesn’t automatically fix what’s broken. Cassidy and Kylo came to me as two people trying to survive their own pain while holding onto each other with everything they had left.
Cassidy was learning how to wait for Kylo.
Kylo was counting backward just to stay grounded.
Their story is a slow burn not because the love isn’t intense, but because healing takes time. Trauma doesn’t move in a straight line.
And then came Twice: Save Me. Because love doesn’t stop once the pieces are put back together. Sometimes the real danger shows up after you think you’re safe.
This series is about loving someone through their darkest moments and choosing them anyway.
