Alisha Dempsey writes stories for the stargazers, the day-dreamers, and the haunted hearts. A Yorkshire-based author of Young Adult Science Fiction, she’s best known for her debut novel, Stargazer. She was also a runner-up in the Wicked Young Writers Awards, having been recognised for her emotionally resonant storytelling; Alisha blends quirky charm with depth, often exploring themes of identity, connection, and the cosmos.

When she’s not writing, she’s likely playing her ukulele, exploring virtual worlds through her favourite videogames, or getting lost in an audiobook.

Her debut novel, Stargazer, was published in May 2025. Alisha currently has a sequel in the works, as well as a short story compilation.

Remy laughed. “It’s more colloquial, it might not be in your vocabulary. “It’s, uh,” he whispered here, “it means asshole, nutsack, that kind of thing.”
