Do We Need More Romantic Novels in a World Where Love Is Fading and Imagination Is Crushed?
We live in a world that moves too fast.
Love is reduced to quick texts, unread messages, and unspoken goodbyes.
Imagination is buried under deadlines, notifications, and the constant pressure to be “practical.”
So the question naturally arises—
Do we really need more romantic novels today?
I believe we need them more than ever.
Romantic novels are not just about love stories.
They are about hope, longing, connection, and the quiet reminder that emotions still matter in a world trying to numb them.
When reality feels heavy, fiction becomes a safe place.
A place where feelings are allowed to breathe.
Where love isn’t rushed, judged, or explained—it simply exists.
Romance gives us something modern life often denies us:
the permission to feel deeply.
In times when relationships feel transactional and emotions are hidden behind screens, romantic stories remind us of vulnerability. They show us flawed people choosing love despite fear, pain, or past mistakes.
And imagination—
Imagination is not childish.
It is survival.
Stories allow us to imagine tenderness when life feels harsh.
They let us dream of connection when loneliness feels louder than logic.
Romantic novels don’t escape reality.
They heal it, softly.
That is why I write romantic stories layered with emotion, tension, and depth. Not because the world is perfect—but because it isn’t.
In a world where love feels lost and imagination feels crushed, romance becomes an act of quiet rebellion.
And yes—
We absolutely need more of it.
