My name is Kam Miller. I'm a 33 year old unemployed, part-time bartender. I lost my job this summer due to the financial crappiness of our miserable economy. I knew it was coming but it still sucked for about a week then I realized I never had to go back to that boring job. I was lucky, I had a good paying job that gave me medical benefits but after ten years my brain was starting to atrophy due to the lack of challenge. While I will miss my awesome co-workers, I will never miss the monotony and tedium of the insurance industry.

About a year ago a friend told me about the Silver Publishing website. He knew how much I enjoyed reading and thought I would appreciate a small publishing company that was willing read submissions from anybody. Afte ...more
