Being from Liverpool, music has always been a big part of Caerys's life. She studied music throughout school, college and university, mainly focusing on songwriting. Every song she wrote was woven with stories which over time led into a love of writing too.

Caerys has always loved reading, even if that means taking a book on a tour of an underground cave. (Yeah, that actually happened and no, she didn't think to bring a reading light.) She’s always been fascinated with the supernatural; anything dark, magical, and sort of dramatic, especially vampires, since they are the epitome of dramatic.
