Well, let's see... I have a lot of ideas and energy, so I do all kinds of stuff. I like making sculptures, doing kooky photography, writing these crazy books, gardening, building and fixing things.

In terms of literature, I grew up reading at a very early age. There are lots of writers whose work I have devoured: S.E. Hinton, John Bellairs, Robert Cormier, Judy Blume, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, from Jack Kerouac (who was a friend of my grandfather), Evelyn Waugh, Truman Capote, Edward Gorey, Tennessee Williams, Paul Bowles, William Burroughs, Patricia Highsmith, Yukio Mishima, Charles Bukowski, Raymond Chandler, Virginia Woolf, Christopher Isherwood, Aldous Huxley, Thomas Mann, Flannery O'Connor, James Baldwin, John Rechy, Scott Fitzgerald, E. ...more
