Thank You

Thank you to everyone that has stuck by me all these years and bought my re-release yesterday. I hope you enjoy all the changes that I’ve added to the book.

I’m currently working on Book 2 and Book 3. Hopefully, those of you that enjoyed Triple Threat will stick around to read book 2 and 3. The covers for them are currently in the works and I will have a cover release party in the next couple of months.

I have the outline for Book 4 done and the bare bones draft. It definitely needs more drafting, but it is getting there. I’m hoping to be actively working on this by the end of June. So, thank you to everyone that has stayed by me and welcome to all my new followers.

Welcome Back!

Welcome to my blog. For those of you that are new here, thank you for coming. For everyone else, thank you for coming back. As some of you know, I am re-releasing the Millersburg Shifters series. To be perfectly honest, things have not been great with my physical and mental health.

I disappeared at the end of 2018. I had gone to my doctor about some pain in my side and after a long fiasco; we found out that I had to have my gallbladder removed. I had that removed after waiting a couple of months. It wasn’t pleasant. It did horrible things to my mental health. I was in constant pain and couldn’t do anything about it. I was trapped at home because the pain was enough. It was hard to move and do things. At first, I thought it would be a great time to work on my writing. Nope. I ended up picking up crochet and using that as a stress reliever. It has been my go to for a few years now. I’ve tried coming back to writing several times over the years. But as you are reading, that didn’t pan out. But the bright side to 2017/2018 was meeting my now husband. He helped me a lot.

2019 saw me struggling with work and finding out the wonderful new things that came with no longer having a gallbladder, getting divorced from my ex-husband, and getting engaged to my now husband. Then 2020 hit, I was considered a front-line worker. During all this, we had been looking for a house and then moving into our new house the day before shutdown, and driving an hour one way to go to work. Then things happened and we could work closer to home. But this was still during the midst of Covid.

My husband also found out that he had diabetes and had to have surgery due to it. Things were rough. My mental health was in the dumpster. I ended up quitting my job in 2021, right after we got married. I then spent a year trying to get myself off the couch and back into living my life. Then, I started working at the hospital. It was a great place to start my journey in getting my mental health back to a healthy level. I worked on losing weight; I was walking all the time and crocheted all the time.

I love crocheting but it wasn’t the same as writing. I picked up a pen/laptop and nothing. I tried and tried, but I had fallen out of the habit of writing all the time. So I tried reading about writing. That helped. Then I made a garden and thought that it would be awesome to sit outside and write in my garden.

Who hasn’t had that fantasy?

Well, I ended up changing jobs again. Still no writing. But! I was reading again. I read 150+ books last year. Then last year I found myself going back to college and took the standard English class and had to write about my life. Needless to say, I was ecstatic to be writing again. I then picked up Triple Threat (Millersburg Shifters book 1) and started reading through it. I read all three books and decided that it was time to get my books off the shelf and dust them off.

I decided that I wouldn’t rush it but take my time slowly getting things done. Though I have found I am slightly ahead of schedule, which may change. But (I know another but) I am taking my time and getting myself back out there. Back in 2017 I had a small following. Now I’m starting over. Again. I’m not going to take my writing for granted again. Not when life showed me that it could take my writing from me and leave me with nothing.

I know most of you have probably left at this point but I just want to say thank you for being a new reader and if you are an old reader, thank you for coming back. I can never tell you how much I appreciate all of you.
