Sad Monday

It is a very sad day today in Australia; one can only imagine the absolute terror that the hostages were going through. Not only were they the hostage of a fanatical madman, already known to the police for attempted murder and sexual assault, but during his occupation he produced the black flag of ISIS.

At that point I would most certainly have believed that my fate was to be beheaded.

The police acted well and managed to release most of the hostages, such a shame that they had to wait for one to be killed before they got the guts to storm the café. One sight of that flag and I would have ordered the immediate action which was required - easy for me to say in my UK home.

RIP to the poor people who have lost their lives at the hands of Islamic State or in it's name.
