Tantalizing Tuesday Teaser for January 5, 2016
Happy Tuesday, Molly Monsters! It’s been a while for me. Very, very busy but I’m excited to restart a little tradition. What tradition? Well, it’s TantalizingTuesday, and it’s some of the most fun you can have on the internet. A group of writers get together every Tuesday. We each pick our own picture and then, we write exactly two hundred words. That’s it. Two hundred words. I think you’ll find that the wonderful authors I’m privileged to know pack a pretty damned big punch in those two hundred words. Okay. Mine is right below but don’t even think about reading mine without also clicking to read the rest!
Happy BirthdayFucking heels. What the hell? Slutty heels count as a present? Why not just buy me a goddam vacuum or a new dishwasher? Fuck me pumps? That’s really it? Really? How about season tickets to the Cowboys? I have a pretty good idea who’d be in the other seat. Hunting license? All expenses paid trip to fish along the Colorado? All sorts of things any woman would want. Fucking heels to make my legs seem longer and to accentuate my ass for anyone who wants a look at it. Oh yeah, that’s romantic as hell. Perfect gift. Jesus. Jesus Christ. Why not give me a subscription to Maxim? Why not take me to a strip club so I can put on a goddam show, get a lap dance with some brilliant girl named Candy who’s really intellectual even with her boobs bouncing around? Why not get me one of those racecar adventures where I go from zero to sixty in three seconds and even be strapped to the seat like a professional? Fuck the flowers. How about some cheese curls and a six pack?
On the other hand...
Those heels look pretty sexy, now that I think about it.
There it is, Molly Monsters! Be sure to check out the teases from all of the other great writers! I know you’ll love them. You can find them on the TantalizingTuesday blog! Until next time, grab life by the balls because you never know what might cum of it!

An Interview with Grinelda Markowitz
Molly Monsters! I have a real treat for you today if you’re like me and a closet geek! If you’ve always thought Lord of the Rings would be just a bit better if Aragorn had bent Arwyn over there in the forest and gone to town… If you’ve always thought Princess Leia should have given Han a blowjob while he navigated the Millennium Falcon… If you’ve always wanted to see Red Sonja bouncing up and down on Conan’s…Okay, you get the picture.
I love fantasy and science fiction, and you already know I love erotica. Today, I get to introduce you to Grinelda Markowitz, who blends speculative fiction with erotic content in wonderful ways. Get to know this author. I’m so glad I did!
Okay, Grinelda, I always start off with the good stuff, so what is your favorite position?
I let the circumstances and location determine that.
That’s a fair enough answer, and since in your fiction the circumstance and location can be very exotic I imagine positioning can be crazy. Natural or shaved?
Au naturel, of course.
What made you get into erotica?
I've always enjoyed a well-written steamy novel. So I write to my own specific tastes.
How’s it going for you?
It goes well. I'm frustrated by having to fill a day job, so finding time to write is more than a bit of a challenge. I enjoy networking and meeting other authors. Most of all, I love being able to take each day as it comes and make it count.
Obviously you don’t have experience in far off worlds but how much of what you write is from experience?
I like to temper my writing with scenarios and such from my experience. So, let's say I sprinkle on the experience rather liberally.
Are there things your characters do that you wouldn’t?
Sometimes.
Come on. Be a little more specific. Okay, are there things you do that your characters wouldn’t?
Sometimes.
Look at you playing your cards close to the vest! I suppose that’s fair. After all, your writing speaks for itself. Tell us about your current project. What inspired it? How have you been writing it? What keeps you motivated?
Actually, I'm writing something rather vanilla right now. I set myself the task to finish something, so this is it. I have other books that I dash in and dump a few things on, but my current book under another moniker is the primary focus for now. But, I do get flashes of vision for book two of The Moon-kissed Chi and some of the other erotic things I have going on out there. I commit them to paper as soon as I'm able. The joy, frustrations and surprises that come with writing keep me motivated.
I’ve interviewed a great many erotica authors, and even though I’ve interviewed a number of paranormal authors, this may be the first time I’ve had a chance to talk to a writer who has combined science fiction and fantasy with erotica. How did you approach developing the lush world you’ve created while maintaining the sexual tension and sexuality?
Well, I grew up on classic sci-fi. A lot of the earlier stuff was really rather erotic in its way. That's how I moved on to include erotica in my reading preferences. This world in particular, is very erotic in that the sex drive is magnified in intensity by the chi which permeates the environment of Kalaydan.
How do you integrate the fantastic setting with the heat?
I write it as it comes. I chafe sometimes at the social restrictions that writers of erotica have to respect. If I can get around the, however and write what I want, I do.
I love that attitude. In a strange way, erotica writers sometimes seem to have more hang ups than others. As far as writing style, what’s more important to you in erotica, the characterization or the plot?
Both. Strong character development as well as a cohesive and well-written storyline are integral to any good story. The erotica is just the window dressing.
Fair enough. I get a lot of flak because I tend to believe that porn and erotica are two sides of the same coin. What are your thoughts?
I think porn can be applied more broadly to various topics. Ever heard of food porn? Erotica itself suggests the sexual specifically. I think the definition of porn that I've included below highlights my point very well:
“... television programs, magazine, books, etc. that are regarded as emphasizing the sensuous or sensational aspects of a nonsexual subject and stimulating a compulsive interest in their audience.”
That is the very first time someone has answered that question in that manner. Great answer and a very interesting perspective. Have you read much classic erotica, like Anais Nin or earlier? Maybe we should talk about the Slave Girls of Gor by John Norman.
I've read a number of things from earlier on. I used to raid my parents' book stash while they were gone. The Happy Hooker is another series I remember well. That really crosses over to the area of porn quite well.
Ah… the Happy Hooker was one of the first books I stole from my parents to read under my cover late at night with a flashlight! What do you think about the future of erotica?
As long as sex and the sexual are an integral part of the human condition, I think it will always have a place though it may manifest itself in new and creative ways.
What’s upcoming for you?
I'm looking forward getting further on with my other writing. I'm looking at making a career change in the near future which should make that possible. Starting next year, I hope to start attending various promotional conventions for writers.

About Grinelda
Grinelda Markowitz writes erotic fiction across multiple genres. She resides in a galaxy far, far away with a trusty pen, a never-ending supply of paper and a fertile imagination. The Moon-Kissed Chi, her first e-published book in the genre of erotic fiction, is available on Amazon and Smashwords.
For a bit of recreation she enjoys clay work and attending symphony. She meets up with friends when able to sync with their schedules and she maintains a fairly active virtual life. Eating out is a passion for her, always being glad to find a new restaurant which warrants a return visit.
Cliché as it is, she used to work at a bookstore part time. Finally, she also maintains a full-time bread-and-butter job as well. Embarking on a serious approach to writing rather than the hit-and-miss efforts of previous years has provided a welcome focal point in her daily existence.
About The Moon-Kissed Chi
In the city of Kalaydan, Arrinay and Bezhyanya, the senior members of the ruling family, are faced with the early maturation of their daughter, Gayadnae. She must start the training. It’s Kalaydan law. Their daughter has other ideas. After concocting a plan to avoid responsibility and almost succeeding in carrying it out, Gayadnae’s life takes an unexpected turn.
Grayt, the ever-present serving woman to Arrinay, fills many roles and has her fingers in a number of pies. There’s definitely more to her than is apparent on the surface. Along with coordinating activities in the Main House, keeping the young mistress in line, and talking to horses, Grayt has a more secret agenda with a graver responsibilities.
A hint of trouble on the horizon and other darker activities weave their way through the backdrop of this delightful tale which takes place in the city of Kalaydan.

Erotica and Shame
Why am I ashamed that I inspire readers to masturbate?Image from canstockphoto.com/logan5I don’t know why I haven’t written a post about this subject before. I’ve certainly vocalized it a great deal with those of my friends aware of my erotic alter-ego. I’ve typed similar thoughts in various chats and comment strings. Why I haven’t made a mini-treatise on it is beyond me. I think it’s an obvious and important issue when it comes to erotica, and I think I even owe you all an apology for never addressing it before.
Shame.
That’s it.
Shame.
I know it seems kind of weird to read that word on my blog given that I regularly string words together like, “When the mushroom head of that damned monster of a cock pressed against my lips I got a sudden vision of all the porn videos of fresh-outta-high-school girls gagging and drooling as impossibly endowed men forced way too much dick into throats accustomed to breathing regularly and not choking.” Still, I think shame drives a great deal of the discussion and the culture of erotica.
Just think about how many authors try desperately to be accepted as “real” authors. It’s silly when you think about it. Stephen King, one of the most accomplished authors of the last forty years, won an award for literary achievement and a great many literary people freaked out about it. He showed class and in a masterful speechtold everyone in the audience who felt that way to go to hell but told them that in a way that had them packing their bags and anticipating the trip. Do you think King has ever felt shame because he writes horror? (That’s not all he writes but he’s definitely known primarily as a horror writer.)
Why is it that we feel ashamed of our subject matter when others don’t? I feel it sometimes. I won’t lie about that. When I do, though, I smack myself for my egotistical and elitist attitude. There’s nothing wrong with sex. If I pour my heart into a story (like I did with Robbie’s Starlets) and a reader doesn’t catch on to the main character’s conflicted inner struggles but instead masturbates furiously to the sexual elements, why in the hell should I feel bad about that? I just helped someone achieve orgasm, and orgasms are good!
Would a horror writer feel ashamed that he gave a reader chills?
Would a thriller writer feel ashamed that she got someone’s heart racing?
Would a mystery writer feel ashamed that he made someone curious of the guilty party?
Would a teen-fiction writer feel ashamed that she strummed adolescent strings for the expected response?
Would a woman’s fiction writer feel ashamed that he omitted to make the book appeal to men?
But we do.
We do feel shame.
Sometimes that shame is exemplified in almost violently abrasive arguments about the nature of erotica. I’ve lost erotica writing friends because I believe porn and erotica are the same exact thing, just tailored to different audiences. Why is that so taboo? Simple. Even people who like porn think it’s dirty and without literary merit. How dare I compare something so much better than that to something that has no merit?
How the hell can we award Stephen King an award for his contribution to American Letters?
I’ll tell you something. We don’t need legitimacy. We already have it. We need to stop fighting for it. It only reveals our shame. Something in us refuses to let go of a simple idea.
Maybe everybody’s right.
Maybe everybody’s right—maybe what I write has no value. Maybe I couldn’t make it in another (better) genre. Maybe I’m not really a writer.
I don’t believe any of that but I still feel it sometimes. I feel it on a regular basis. Its part and parcel of writing in a genre that is gaining acceptance but isn’t there yet. I’m in good company, too. How many times did Shakespeare face demons inside of him telling him everyone was right and that his plays had no literary merit but were only appropriate for the most vulgar audiences? How many times did Picasso wonder if everyone was right and he invented cubism because he couldn’t make it otherwise? How many times?
The shame still creeps into my mind despite the fact that I’ve received communications from dozens of readers who attribute positive changes in their marriages to my writing. One woman said she and her husband fought regularly about sex (or a lack thereof) and my writing increased the frequency and the quality so their relationship was no longer at risk but far stronger.
But I still feel the shame. What the hell?
Can I say that I’m proud of every fuck, cock, cunt, snatch, pussy, dick, cum, and little virgin asshole appearing in something I’ve written? I feel that way but even typing that sentence gave me a horrible and uneasy twinge of phantom shame.
Get over it, Molly!
Get over it, everyone.

Tantalizing Tuesday Teaser for June 16th, 2015
Happy Tuesday, Molly Monsters! You know Tuesdays are tied with Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays as my favorite days of the week, right? What makes Tuesday great is that a group of authors each choose a picture and write exactly two-hundred words designed to tease you, to tantalize you. It’s called TantalizingTuesday, and it’s some of the most fun I’ve had with a keyboard and a mouse.
Today is just a bit different, and I’m probably breaking the rules a little, and anyone who knows me understands that I NEVER break the rules. I’m an absolute angel. I stick right to the guidelines. I’ve never even heard of drawing outside of the lines. I am the most consistent and… Hey! Stop laughing. I’m being serious here… Stop! Don’t make me pelt raisins through cyberspace at you (Thanks RN for the raisins thing) because nobody wants to be pelted with raisins.
For the love or Rocco Siffredi’s hard…um… abs, where the heck was I?
Oh yeah. Breaking the rules. See, there’s an astounding anthology series I’ve been extraordinary fortunate to associate my name with. (Stop it, grammar jerks! I tried seven ways to write that sentence without ending in a preposition and without seeming snooty by saying “with which to associate” so just leave me alone.) This great series is the Gratisseries. Gratis—as in free. That’s right. You can get the Gratis series free on Amazon. I’ve been in the last two issues, and the newest is called Summer Fling. It has my story, Marsala Sweet, in it. So, the tease for today will be from that story.
God! That was a hell of a long introduction for a two-hundred word tease. Here it is, the girl on the screen from Marsala Sweet from Gratis: Summer Fling, edited slightly because I don’t naturally write stories in two-hundred word passages.
Image (c) canstockphoto.com/honoredThe Girl on the Screen
Her lips were painted in a deep shade of red, and dark eyeliner gave a sultry flare to her gaze that said a great many things that weren’t innocent at all.
She was petite, so small that she looked the size of a child but her breasts and the curve of her hips made it clear she was a woman.
But she was tiny.
She was so damned tiny. She was a tiny contradiction, a juxtaposition of innocence and sexiness that somehow made both seem more pronounced.
She was also me.
There was something crazy about knowing that, knowing that the girl on the screen wasn’t some stranger, some nameless person. It brought a burst of shame and a bigger burst of excitement. Neither made sense. I’d never looked at girls in sexy movies or porn like they had anything to be ashamed about, and I’d never thought the idea of being on display would be sexy either. Still, I was suddenly filled with the irrational certainty that somewhere my father, my older brother, my grandfather, and my Uncle Terry were all sitting down and looking at a computer screen and exploding in anger when they realized it was me.
There it is, Molly Monsters! Be sure to check out the teases from all of the other great writers! I know you’ll love them. Until next time, grab life by the balls because you never know what might cum of it!

Tantalizing Tuesday Teaser June 9, 2015
Hey there, Molly Monsters! It’s Tuesday, and that means Tantalizing Tuesday Teasers! It’s been a while since I’ve participated (anybody want to spank me for that?) but I’m back in the proverbial saddle now, and I know a number of you have been waiting for this very moment, trembling in anticipation as the pressure builds and impacts every aspect of your lives until release becomes more than desired and the need translates into absolute desperation until there’s no…
Oops. Okay. Got carried away.
For those of you new to Tantalizing Tuesdays, a group of authors decided it would be fun to offer up two-hundred word teases based on pictures. It’s that simple. We each choose a picture and we each write a tease. My offering is right below but don’t you dare read mine without also reading everyone else! You can click on the link above or below.
Okay…here you go!
Nothing in Common
Image by Canstockphoto.com VadimGuzvhaHe’s not my type. Not my type at all. He doesn’t have boyish charm and doesn’t have that intellectual flair about him that sends tremors through me and makes me feel giggly and sends tremors through me and—oh, I said the tremors part. He’s not my type. He’s nothing like the kind of guy I like. Not at all.
On the first date, he didn’t seem all that interested in Silas Marner’s motivation, and on the second date he listened politely but didn’t engage when I tried to explain Leopold Bloom’s desperation. Don’t get me started on the indulgent but blank look poetry elicited. Not my type.
Date three’s a gift. One and two made it clear there’s no future. Date three’s just kindness, a polite goodbye before I head back to my world of words and he heads back to his world of machining and football on Sundays and microbreweries.
So I can’t really say why we’re at his place. I can’t really explain why my heart is beating like it is and why I desperately need to get his damned belt unbuckled. I sure as hell shouldn’t want him the way I do.
He’s not my type.
There it is, Molly Monsters. I hope you liked it! Now travel on over to the Tantalizing Tuesday Blog and read what the other fine folks have to offer. Like their posts! Share their posts! Comment about their posts!
Until next time, Molly Monsters, grab life by the balls because you never know what may cum of it!

Lesbian Erotica Author Rhavensfyre
Image of Rhavensfyre Hey there, Molly Monsters! I’m excited to present you with an author (a writing team, actually) whose work I enjoy. I think you’ll enjoy them, too. Together, this lovely couple write lesbian erotica under the penname Rhavensfyre. Their work has depth and emotion and a hell of a lot of heat. I think you’ll really enjoy them. I know I have. So, let’s get right to it!
I always start off with the good stuff, so what is your favorite position?
Oh, anything goes as long as it’s with the wife. We pride ourselves on authentic “research” for our books.
Woohoo! In our line of business, research is always fun. Okay, then…natural or shaved?
Not into Furries or young things…so, trimmed nicely, but definitely has to be womanly.
Fair compromise. So tell me what made you get into erotica?
I don’t think we “got” into erotica. We wrote a very intense book where the main character is very sexual, very much a dominant…and we discovered we can write very hot, very loving (and sometimes vanilla, but not always) sex scenes between two women.

Stumbled into it, then. You know, I’ve discovered that a great many erotica authors end up like that. Since that discovery, how has it gone?Very well! Switching Gears is our debut novel and it just won a Goldie Award for Erotica.
Congratulations! It’s a fine book, and like I said, you have a remarkable way of combining depth, emotion, and blistering heat. That leads me to the next question. How much of what you write is from experience?
I will send you all back up to question one. We pride ourselves on our research…without losing the mystique, I can say for both of us that we rarely write anything we haven’t tried ourselves.
Hold on while I contemplate that answer. Um… I’m going to go find my vibra—um, I mean I’m going to be right back. On second thought, let’s finish before I finish with… um, let’s finish. Are there things your characters do that you wouldn’t?I think it is more a matter of degree. Some of our characters aren’t quite human. I don’t think us poor mortals would survive their idea of passion.
Okay, then the flip side. Are there things you do that your characters wouldn’t?
Absolutely not! We like to push boundaries and see how far we can go.
Tell us about your current project. What inspired it? How have you been writing it? What keeps you motivated?
We have several things going on at once. We just finished the third installation in a serial novella we are doing. Ladysmith, a dark fantasy, was just released in May. We have several shorts we are working on that we would classify as “erotic romances” that we are playing with, as well as a full length lesbian romance we hope to have out in fall. Ladysmith will have a sequel and that is next after that.
We, my wife and I, are a writing team. We can’t go into our process too much, but suffice it to say we have two computers and it keeps us busy. Inspiration? We love to write about women. Women falling in love, in finding themselves, in enjoying each other.
Motivation? The strong female character. Goddess, but we love them. We write women who get to be the strong ones, the heroine…and are baddasses when they need to be. No weak women who take a side line when the hero shows up, no, these women take what they want and aren’t afraid to be in charge. Not every book needs this type of character, but deep down inside, we want our women to be warriors, not maidens in distress.
What have you written that you think is the most important thing for your readers to read?
I would have to say our first book. Without upsetting anyone, Switching Gears is more than just erotica. The story behind it, what moves the characters to become who they are and what they need…it is very powerful. It is a story of acceptance, both of yourself and of the one you love. It is also a story of discovery. The characters discover things about themselves, sometimes surprising things…about how they express themselves sexually. It is two women who display their dominance in different arena’s, and how they learn to balance those needs in their relationship. (A QUICK NOTE: Switching Gears is currently unavailable but is being re-issued by Ravens Heart Books and will be available soon! Stay tuned, Molly Monsters)
What’s more important to you in erotica, the characterization or the plot?
Oh, our books are very much character driven. We want you to meet them, to love or hate them, but at least have some feelings for them. Sometimes, you want to be them, or be with them. That is an amazing feeling, to hear that from a reader. Plot is important as well, because it imbeds the characters inside their world and pulls the reader in with them.
I get a lot of flak because I tend to believe that porn and erotica are two sides of the same coin. What are your thoughts?
I think it is all about trying to define something. Humans seem to have a need to label everything. Our two cents? Porn is about titillation, about creating arousal and stimulating a sexual response. Erotica is a bit more than that, at least what we try to write. We want you to realize it isn’t just sex for sex sake. The characters are making love—it can be just as stimulating and sexual, but it brings in all the senses and emotions that we look for in a relationship. There is plot, but most importantly, there is growth and discovery between the two characters.
I think you make a good point. The division is arbitrary, an attempt to label. Have you read much classic erotica, like Anais Nin or earlier?
As lesbians, our past forays into erotica have been mainly Lesbian erotica anthologies.
What do you think about the future of erotica?
This is a tough one. I am thrilled that we seem to be loosening up the Puritan stranglehold on sexuality. In saying that, I think erotica will have to grow…I mean, there is only so many ways to have sex and describe it. If we want more readers, we will have to give them good storylines, believable characters and a bit of romance leading up to the sex. It is, without a doubt…all about the fantasy.
What’s upcoming for you?
Well, for us, it’s just to keep on writing. We will always write lesbian romance, lesbian erotica and fantasy. That doesn’t mean we don’t believe our books aren’t appealing to other audiences. The stories are solid, they are entertaining, and most are a roller-coaster ride with some great twists and turns. We just want to write what we know, and that our main characters just happen to love other women shouldn’t be the deciding factor on trying it out. We have a CURVE review coming out in August for Ladysmith, and our geeky halves are planning on the last Xena-con in February of next year. Other than that, we are hitting P-town for women’s week this fall to schmooze with all the other lesbians. Okay! There you have it, Molly Monsters. To get more information about this fabulous team and their work be sure to follow Rhavensfyre on Facebook. Also, you can subscribe to receive updates from the Rhavensfyre Blog. Don’t you dare forget to buy Rhavensfyre books on Amazon!

Jena Bexter's Veiled Memories, Courtesy of TJ's Virtual Book Tours.
A few weeks ago, I posted my review of Veiled Memories by Jenna Baxter, and now it’s time for some more information, courtesy of TJ’s Virtual Book Tours.
TJ’s is a wonderful site, by the way. My review tells you what I thought about the book. Here’s more information, straight from the publisher. The Blurb
Heaven’s greatest warrior angel has fallen leaving his bonded-brother, Ilan, frustrated and confused. After finding a child Chayan placed in his care a new home, Ilan falls into a period of rebellion until his Master, Adiel, assigns him a guardian assignment to restore Lily and Bryan Erickson’s broken marriage. Having a pure heart, Lily is able to see him while other humans can’t. Vulnerable and intrigued, Ilan falls in love with his charge. He finds Lily’s wayward husband in a vacation house with another woman, and rising to the challenge, manages to show Bryan what he lost, but now Lily won’t talk to him.
When she calls Ilan, late one night, his heart screams warning, but unable to resist her he answers the call. She awaits him in a candlelit room where Ilan watches afraid and unseen. If he accepts her invitation, he’ll be fallen in the morning. Unable to walk away, Ilan decides to make her his own until Eytan, the guardian of Lily’s unborn daughter, appears with the only argument that will stop him.
A warrior is never sent on a guardian assignment. Something terrible lies ahead and Lily and Bryan must be together to stop it.
Ilan doesn’t understand why he can’t see her future, but refuses to leave Lily’s safety to another. He veils her memories and works in earnest to re-forge the bond with the husband that didn't want her. Bryan returns home, and the child is born while Ilan and Eytan watch and wait for an unknown battle to draw near.

Molly Synthia’s Review of Veiled Memories
Cover Image of Veiled Memoriesby Jena Baxter
Highly descriptive writing and vivid imagery transform an otherwise competent but standard paranormal romance into something more in Jena Baxter’s Veiled Memories. Characterization, while (again) competently accomplished, is altered from acceptable levels to very strong development almost entirely based on the consistent and inescapable visualizations that give reality to the characters, and reality forces empathy and identification.
There are flaws, of course. Sometimes the lushness of the descriptive language can be a bit over-powering in the way a rich desert overwhelms us with bliss and then with each bite brings a growing sense of heaviness and unease. Ultimately, though, the assets of Baxter’s stylistic approach far outweigh the liabilities.
As a writer, I was likely taken in by the writing in a way that made me focus on style rather than the plot or, for that matter, anything else. That’s one of the risks of spending hours behind the computer. Veiled Memories, though, pulled me into the story. I felt for the human characters, Lily and Bryan, and I felt deeply for the angel protagonist, Ilan.
The romance and desire is set against a powerful backdrop of the battle between good and evil, and I find the power of that battle somehow amplified by the vivid emotion battle between the humans and the terrible internal battle within Ilan.
Here’s the bottom line. This is better than a run-of-the-mill paranormal romance story. It has all of the run-of-the-mill elements that make the genre such a wonderful guilty pleasure but it goes beyond with competent crafting and extraordinary vividness in the descriptions and the writing.
So, go ahead and Buy Veiled Memories (Bonds of the Covenant Book 1).

You’ll be glad you did.
Okay, Molly Monsters, I know you’re used to seeing erotic content for me, and this isn’t an erotica book. So sue me. Sometimes my man leaves me so damned sexually satisfied that I read other things.

An Interview with Bambi F. Moore
Hey there, Molly Monsters! I’m happy to say I get to present you with another erotica author you’re sure to love! I met up with Bambi F. Moore, and as usual, the conversation was pretty damned exciting.
Cover Image V is for Vixens by Bambi F. MooreBambi, I always start off with the good stuff, so what is your favorite position? Missionary, I love to look my lover in the eyes.
Natural or shaved?
To be honest as long as I can get it in my mouth, it doesn’t matter.
What a great answer. Of course, I was trying (and prying) to find out about you but I guess I’ll have to find another way to find out. What made you get into erotica?
I actually wrote it as a short to see if I could come up with a real adult love scene. I was unhappy with so many so-called steamy scenes people would say so many books have. I wanted to do something realistic and that little short story became a full blow erotic novel.
How’s it going for you?
Great! I love it when a reader tells me she/he read parts of my story to their partner and they loved it together.
How much of what you write is from experience?
Everything I write is from personal experience. I have done it all and written it so I leave nothing to the imagination. Okay, if you believe that then you as crazy as me lol.
Ha! I’ve read some of your stories. My heart was beating like crazy at the beginning of your answer. Are there things your characters do that you wouldn’t?
I could see myself doing anything that my characters do in real life with no problem. We all have our kinky side.
Are there things you do that your characters wouldn’t?
Now it all comes down to the character. I am an honest person and all of my characters are not 100% honest with everyone.
Tell us about your current project. What inspired it? How have you been writing it? What keeps you motivated?
“V for Vixens” is about Victoria Madison your average woman who like so many others have given up relationships altogether after a few major let downs. An older woman shared with her the possibility of going on a vacation from her everyday life. She takes her up on that offer. Victoria does things she thought she would never do in a million years. She learns letting go of her inhibitions is the best gift in the world.
What inspired me was the lack of realism in so much erotica. I wanted it to be as real as possible. Sex is not always nice and sweet, it can get raunchy and play for control. I have been writing it in my own corner of the basement, lol. What motivates me to keep writing is there is a chance someone will read my work and recommend it to someone else. Also I want to share my dirty fantasies with the world, lol.
That was a two laugh-out-loud answer! That’s okay, though. I see your point. Really, when we sit down to write we can write highly romanticized fantasies where the sex is always perfect and romantic and sweet or we can approach more raunchy scenarios. I think there’s a place for both, certainly. What have you written that you think is the most important thing for your readers to read?
“V is for Vixens.” It has a diverse cast of characters all different but comes together to complete the story. Everyone can find someone their can relate to in the book.
What’s more important to you in erotica, the characterization or the plot?
I’m going with the characters all the way for me. They all are a part of me in some way or form. The plot is my playground.
I get a lot of flack because I tend to believe that porn and erotica are two sides of the same coin. What are your thoughts?
One must ask themselves what is porn? Depending on who you are asking many would say a movie with porn star actors. Now you can ask a person what is erotica and they will say a book which has a plot where the characters stick to unlock porn.
But ask yourself if most porn movies have plots to them. Okay… They have strange names like “Big Black Dicks” or “Nympho Nurses.” Those are plots that they stick to faithfully. Now we come to the written form of what people call porn. A lot of sex between the pages and no plot.
Sorry for babbling but the end of the day everyone trying to get new ideas and get off by looking at porn, reading porn, reading erotica, etc. Let’s don’t fight and judge people.
Way to avoid the answer. Still, your point is right. No judging. Have you read much classic erotica, like Anais Nin or earlier?
The oldest I have unfortunately was Anne Rice’s Sleeping Beauty Trilogy. I LOVED IT! I look at her author page every day and laugh thinking “You a nasty bitch.” I mean that with as much love as possible!
What do you think about the future of erotica?
It’s one genre that will have more sub-genres than anyone other one. I just found out a month ago there was a thing called erotica monster porn. This lady had a story about Bigfoot having his way with abducted women.
What’s upcoming for you?
I will be releasing a new novel in a few months, I’m quiet on the details but I guarantee I will no longer be tamed in my writing. Also something special about the man who everyone loves to hate, but secretly wants to belong to him.
