Of Pollyanna and Marcus Aurelius

Talk about a rabbit hole.

Barbara is reading The Hundred-Year House: 41/2 stars. A tad slow in places, but an otherwise riveting read. I love the idea of telling a house’s history from present day backwards. There’s a section in the middle that -even though I knew was coming - had me gasping in shock. Such wonderful writing.
