Joanne Monte is the author of a poetry collection, "The Blue Light of Dawn" which received the Bordighera Poetry Book Award and was published in 2013 by the Bordighera Press. Many of her poems have been published in literary journals. She has received several awards which include the John David Johnson Memorial Poetry Award, The Iva Mary Williams Inspirational Poetry Award, and the Black Bear Review Award. In addition to being a Pushcart nominee, she has had poems judged as a finalist and semi-finalist for the Princemere Poetry Award, the Jack Grapes Poetry Award, Palette Poetry Award, Sheila-Na-gig Award, New Millennium Award for Poetry, and the Writer’s Digest Award. I really can't think of any mystery in my own life; there is one in particular in the life of someone close to me that I would love to explore more in-depth that I think would be a good plot for a book, something on par with "Leave Her to Heaven."
