My Dilemma - Internal Conflict vs. Great Reviews
I'm still a bit internally conflicted about my newest short story (FotoGone: A Very Bad App)- it's a character who's so different from me that writing a few parts actually bothered me on a visceral level.
I opted to publish anyways, and I'm thrilled to hear back from a few reviewers that they enjoyed the book - but now they think I'm twisted.
Oh well, I think I will use the reviews as therapy...much cheaper than a psychiatrist!

The thing I admired the most about this little jaunt into crazy-ville was Finnerty’s ability to (not only) create a believable story (including a lesson in quantum physics) in 40 pages but to manipulate his lead character so horrifically/brilliantly/convincingly in the same amount of space.

A fantastic writer, a disturbing story and a perfectly outstanding book. I recommend it with a shiver and the knowledge I will never get it out of my head.

Want a free ebook (short story)?
ok, I know it's a bit silly to start my first blog post with an ad for my newest short story (FotoGone - a story that watches one young mans descent into depravity after he finds a phone app that can alter time...) but since it is free for one day only, I figured you'd want to know that before reading anything else.
