Back and swathed in tartan – Scotland and Ireland pics

Happy summer! I’m back from a whirlwind trip to Ireland and Scotland, with plenty of pics to show for it. Below are a handful for you to enjoy. We had some of the best food there, which I’ve been trying to recreate at home since, with varying degrees of success! Here’s hoping you all have a lovely summer with plenty of sun and laughter.

Merry month of May

Holy moly, it’s May already. Where has time gone? (Answer: to the future. Obviously.)

Behind the scenes: Prosthetics vids & tidbits re: Only Yours

Found this vid and my heart, guys. My HEART. Derby the dog runs with the help of 3D printing:

This reminds me of when I was doing research for Jamal’s story in Only Yours — it’s amazing the stories and details I found. Even though the setting of my Bloodhaven series involves technology that’s just slightly advanced compared to where we are now, the truth is current prosthetics technology really isn’t that far from fiction. For instance, watch Hugh Herr’s TED talk (most known for the one in whi...

Pics: Holiday season at the Burnaby Village Museum

We bundled up to head over to the Burnaby Village Museum to catch its holiday season decor. We even managed to spot all the little Twelve Days of X’mas bonuses (ten lords a-leapin’, etc, all craftily hidden). Here are just a few pics from that day:

A wounded warrior meets his match. . . .

One careless mistake. Now disgraced Council agent Jamal Mousenn is left to face the devastating consequences. His only hope for returning to active...
