November and a reason to celebrate

November is National adoption Month and this is an opportunity to celebrate the family and particularly the families that are formed around adoption. My wife and I are the adoptive parents of two lovely and loving daughters and we celebrate our family this month and every other month too. It is our belief that families are formed of a variety of people who come into the family by a variety of ways, but all families begin with the love in the hearts of the members. I have put these thoughts and beliefs into a book, a picture book for children to explain to them, as I explained to my daughters twenty years ago, that children begin in the hearts of the parents.
I have several version of The Child In our Hearts available now: versions for two mothers and for two fathers and versions for single parents. These are translated into Spanish and some are available in Italian too, but the message is the same in all of them: families , whatever the makeup is, start with love and all families should be accepted for the love within them and by no other measure.
My books are available on Amazon.com in paperback and on Kindle and for the month of November, National Adoption Month, the Kindle versions can be purchased for $0.99. This message can be read to adopted children but is also valuable to every child to help understand the different family arrangements and the love that is within them all.
